The festival offers those who attend master classes and events with local and international knitters and designers. For more details, click here.

For more information, click here.

Wool Week
14-20 October
An annual highlight for the Campaign for Wool, the UK celebrations of Wool Week are taking place from 14th to 20th October. The focus of Wool Week is to show the fantastic capabilities of this natural and versatile fibre. Events will be taking place throughout the UK, so find out how you can get involved here. In keeping with this week of wool promotion, we are urging our readers to celebrate by using British yarn. You could win a bundle of British yarn by simply heading to our Giveaways page.

School of Yarn
18-19 October
In its third year, Glasgow School of Yarn will be taking place at The Mackintosh Church at Queen’s Cross. Yarn Cake, a dedicated knitting café, has organised the event to include a marketplace full of independent vendors and workshops, from Amy Singer of Knitty and Liz Lovick of Northern Lace. The workshops will include Fair Isle, Shetland lace, silk spindling and lace design. Call 0141 946 5305 for more details.

Learn Fairisle
27th October
The Wool Bar is hosting an Introduction to Fairisle and Intarsia workshop towards the end of this month, just in time to start your Christmas knits. If you’re interested, call 01903 235445.
