Crochet ovenglove set
Made from pure cotton yarn, Lesley Arnold-Hopkins' ovenglove and pot stand set will soon become your favourite cooking aids
Start the new year by treating yourself to pretty new essentials for the kitchen. The cotton yarn used here is not only good at protecting your hands and worktops from hot pans but also has great stitch definition which really shows off the wave pattern! Beeton and Cradock also make really cute housewarming presents, just opt for neutral shades if you're unsure on the recipient's décor.

Changing colours in crochet
When joining in a new colour, work to the last stitch in the row in the original shade. Using the same yarn work the next stitch until two loops remain, then use the second colour to complete the stitch. As the colour change is so frequent in this pattern, do not cut the yarns at the end of the row but carefully strand them up the side of the work.
