The 2010 Let’s Knit Awards!

Is there a sock yarn that makes you smile from ear to ear, or an online store that has you breathless with excitement whenever you log on?

Now is your chance to tell us, and help decide who should be the winners of the 2010 Let’s Knit Awards. And to reward your efforts there’s a fantastic first prize up for grabs – a place on a week-long knitting retreat holiday at Le Vieux Monastere, near La Rochelle in France, worth £595 – plus some exciting runner-up prizes too! About the main prize

The French Treats knitting break takes place in beautiful Le Vieux Monastere in South West France from the 18th to the 25th September 2010, and features star tutors Jean Moss and Susan Duckworth. The winner will spend a week learning exciting new skills on courses such as Toys Without Tears, Bags of Fun and Knit Your Own Persian Carpet, and also enjoy excursions to local beauty spots and time to relax in lovely rural surroundings. Luxurious accommodation with private room, full board, transfers to and from La Rochelle, workshops and excursions are all included in the prize, which is worth an amazing £595! The winner will be asked to keep a diary and take photographs and upon return give an account of their trip to be included in a follow-up article in Let’s Knit magazine. Travel to La Rochelle is not included and the winner must make their own transport arrangement to and from home. PLEASE NOTE: in the event that the winner cannot take advantage of the main prize it will NOT be possible to offer an alternative prize. The winner will be notified within three working days of the competition closing date of 13th August 2010.
