#LKSecretgarden - the winners!

#LKSecretgarden - the winners!

We had not one, not two, but an incredible 32 entries to our #LKsecretgarden competition, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! We had a hard time this afternoon choosing our winners and we’d like to say a big thank you - and a big congratulations! - to everyone who successfully finished the blanket. So without further ado, here are the winners of our Best Alternative Colourway, Best Photo of the Finished Blanket, and - phew! - the winner of our #LKsecretgarden themed Top 5 Makes!

The winner of Best Alternative Colourway is…
Ann Arbuckle! We loved the simple use of two colours to make this gorgeous bedspread. A special mention for her daughter Jennie Dootson, who made the cushion from another LK pattern!

The winner of the Best Photo of the Finished Blanket is…

Sarah Lowe! The beautiful forest setting of this photograph compliments the blanket’s colourway perfectly. Lovely!

Well done again to Ann and Sarah - don’t forget to contact us on molly.todd@aceville.co.uk to claim your £50 yarn bundle!

If you didn’t win either of our categories, don’t worry - you could still win a prize in our Top 5 makes! Read on to find out if you’re this fortnight’s lucky winner!

5. Jayne McAuley

LK editor Sarah Neal couldn’t resist this tweed-inspired colourway! Ideal for keeping that evening chill at bay.

4. Jillian Broadhurst

Jillian has added a crochet edging to her blanket, adding a delicate finishing touch to the project.

3. Don Lyle

Bright and beautiful, Don has used some gorgeous colours to make her blanket!

2. Lydia Mellor

Some people might say the bold pink was a slightly risky colour choice, but it goes with the other muted shades brilliantly!

And the winner of our special #LKsecretgarden Top 5 Makes is…

1. Nicola Stevens

A pretty colourway and a great photo to boot, we want to be lying in the sunshine with Nicola’s finished blanket right now! Well done on winning our Top 5 Makes!

Didn’t win today’s Top 5 Makes? Don’t worry - we’ll have another one in just a fortnight’s time! So dust off your needles and hooks and get ready for the next one - and don’t forget to share your makes with us on Facebook and Twitter!
