Let’s Knit July Reader Makes Monthly Finale

Check out these beautiful makes!

It’s been a fantastic July of amazing crafting here at LK! We’ve had hundreds of superb entries to the July Reader Makes Facebook Competition. Each week we have chosen three finalists and we’ve had some absolutely brilliant entries this time around.

Remind yourself of this months entries here…

In week one we were getting ready for Christmas with Victoria Joll’s wonderful Christmas jumper….

We were all getting excited for summer afternoon tea in the garden when we saw Susan Evans knitted tea party….

Linda Hoadley’s
rocket jumper had everyone in the LK office admiring it…..

In week two we were all caught gazing at the stunning vibrant shades in Caroline Lehane’s blanket….

We all loved the beautiful beehive by Jenny Langrish - amazing photography too!

Lisa Hooper’s delicate rose blanket was a truly elegant make…..

In week three Susan Owen’s gorgeous doll took us all back to childhood….

We were longing for the weather to turn so we could try to make scarves as beautiful as Christine Stringer’s....

In week four, we were all amazed by Anne Hill’s baby shawl….

We thought Alison Harris’ little lamb gift bag was absolutely adorable!

Debs Sherry-Brennan’s
Nightmare Before Christmas tea cosy was quickly added to all of our to-knit list…

In week five we were obsessed with Kirsty Cook’s quirky owls…

We were all desperate for some real champagne in the LK office after seeing Tammy Haigh’s knitted version!

Our dinosaur-loving Deputy Editor, Adrienne was particularly impressed with Wren Livingston’s dinosaur!

But there can only be one winner…...

Paula Farrow for her incredible Debbie Bliss Knitalong Yarn Shop Day Blanket! The beauty of the blanket, combined with the time it must have taken and her incredible work all contributed into her being crowned this months winner. Well done Paula!
